Loading big assemblies into one project: limitations
- The total size of all source files (assembly and dependencies) should not exceed 200 MB.
- A model should contain no more than 20,000 parts.
- The total triangle count per model should not exceed 20,000,000.
- The triangle count per part should not exceed 100,000
The parameters above are approximate and depend on each other. Lowering one value may let you increase another without losing acceptable performance. You can load more
complex models into RapidAuthor, but performance may vary.
- PC with 2.5 GHz or higher processor clock speed; Intel or AMD family, or compatible processor
- Random Access Memory (RAM): 4 GB
- DirectX 11.1 compatible graphics card
- Minimal screen resolution: 1280x1024
- PC with 2.0 GHz or higher processor clock speed; Intel or AMD family, or compatible processor
- Random Access Memory (RAM): 2 GB
- DirectX 11.1 compatible graphics card
- Minimal screen resolution: 1280x768
We suggest creating separate RapidAuthor projects for different parts of assemblies. One RapidAuthor project should represent one operation in your manual (e.g. bulkhead replacement, which references smaller operations to other RapidAuthor projects) or one simple part catalog section (e.g. left wing aileron hydraulics system).
