Interactive 3D eLearning in space
Europe's first Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) - the Jules Verne, is due to launch on March 8th to bring fresh food, water, fuel, and oxygen to keep the International Space Station (ISS) and its crew alive. The astronauts require a vast range of skills and knowledge to operate the complex procedures they require, which are constantly being expanded and updated as the equipment evolves, even on orbit.
ParallelGraphics Cortona3D RapidLearning software is that chosen for spacecraft crew and astronauts training. Animated 3D simulations show step by step procedures with new levels of detail and interactivity and teach astronauts complex tasks prior to manipulating real equipment as well as enables them to practice these procedures on their laptops over and over again, even on orbit (Click here to view example).
"The interactive learning tool has proven to be a big hit with astronauts and cosmonauts alike! When you impress an astronaut, you know you have done something really special... the interactive 'Visual Know-How' tool will... save time and mistakes, in an environment where errors cost lives."
- Richard Moss, Head of ATV Training, ESA.

Honoured by MBT Magazine
ParallelGraphics was named as a top emerging software vendor by Manufacturing Business Technology Magazine in the October 07 issue. The list includes up-and-coming vendors and criteria for selection included growth statistics and recent customer wins. "We are honoured that ParallelGraphics was chosen as one of only a handful of companies listed in MBT's Top emerging vendors to the manufacturing industry", said Connell Gallagher, President, ParallelGraphics. "Achieving this recognition underscores our commitment to provide the most effective 3D visual communication software to global OEMs."
Arbortext Editor Plug-in released
Users of PTC's Arbortext Editor can now produce next generation documentation with integrated 3D models and animations while authoring. This integration enables anyone who has invested in Arbortext editor to increase their return on investment by gaining from the efficiencies enabled by leveraging 3D graphics directly from their company's design and engineering. Empowering the author to have complete control over both the text and associated illustrations leads to savings in both time and cost, better quality and improved customer satisfaction.

Support for JT™ Open
ParallelGraphics extends its industry leading support of 3D formats by adding support for JT™ Open and joining the JT Open Program
"JT has been widely accepted within the industry as a flexible, reliable, and viewable format for 3D data. Through our JT Open Module, ParallelGraphics empowers our customers to publish design data directly from this preferred format into powerful product support materials using Cortona3D RapidManual, RapidCatalog, RapidLearning and/or many third party applications. With JT as a standard 3D format used in manufacturing environments today, this new capability will enable collaboration using JT files regardless of the original source CAD system."
- Connell Gallagher, President, ParallelGraphics.
