CWC FILLING FROM WDS TANKS USING COMPRESSOR

1 Caution: To avoid creating or propagating CWC inlet (outlet) fitting cracks, CWCs should be manipulated using side handles and not the inlet hose
2 Check with MCC-H for S/N of CWC and US/RSA B Hose to use
3 Check with MCC-H WCP selection
4 Check WPO is OFF
5 Retrieve from Russian Segment:
- Compressor
- Compressor air cable, power cable, grounding cable
- Pressurization adapter
6 Retrieve from American Segment:
- Empty CWC
- Mineral syringe kit
- Silver biocide syringe kit
- ACTEX Unit
- Yellow/Red QD Adapter
- Hose Adapter
- US/RSA B Hose
7 Configure equipment per diagram
8 On MCC-M GO record estimated offload time
9 Check with MCC-H if the CWC should be prepared for potable water or technical water
Note: Potable water has both silver biocide and minerals added. Minerals are always added first. Technical water has only silver biocide added.
10 Check potable label on WCP
11 Open cabin air valve
Open liquid valve
12 Set WPO ON
13 Note: When the CWC is in process of filling, do not squeeze it
14 Set compressor pressure to 0,2
15 Set compressor to ON
16 Note: If the compressor operates continuously for 30 min press OFF then ON again
17 If minerals are required:
- Remove cap from mineral syringe
- Remove cap from injection port
- Install syringe
- Open valve on injection port
- Inject solution
- Fill syringe with water and re-inject
- Close valve on injection port
- Remove syringe and stow it
18 To inject silver biocide:
- Remove cap from silver biocide syringe
- Remove cap from injection port
- Install syringe
- Open valve on injection port
- Inject solution
- Fill syringe with water and re-Inject
- Close valve on injection port
- Remove syringe and stow it
19 Fill CWC for estimated offload time
20 Close liquid valve
21 Set compressor to OFF
22 Disconnect compressor hose from pressurization adapter
23 After pressure from water tank is released, close cabin air valve
24 Set WPO to OFF
25 Disassemble the equipment
26 Label CWC as required
Report to MCC-H
