New features in Cortona Beta 2
Improved installation procedure
Cortona VRML Client 5.0 Beta 2 can now be installed to work with the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla Firefox and Opera.
Improved rendering speed
The rendering speed is significantly improved in comparison with Cortona 5.0 Beta 1.
New VRML Extensions:
-
Panel and HTMLText - these two extensions allow the user to create 2D labels or information panels in the 3D window to display formatted text.
-
TransformSensor - generates an event when the scene geometry is transformed.
New properties of Cortona Control:
-
RendererMaxTextureSize - is used to optimally balance rendering speed and quality of representation. RendererMaxTextureSize specifies the Cortona renderer maximum texture size.
-
PixelBufferAccess - enables the production of screenshots using the DirectX9.0 renderer.
-
Version - returns the Cortona VRML Client version.
Several bugs have been fixed in the Beta 2. It is recommended to upgrade the Beta 1 to the newest version.
