New product releases
Parallel Graphics today announces the latest release of the Cortona3D Rapid Product range. The Cortona3D Technology from Parallel Graphics offers manufacturing companies a new approach in the provision of product life cycle support and effective maintenance and repair services. 3D animations of technical procedures (assembly, maintenance and repair) allow personnel to quickly adopt new technology in addition to learning new skills as well. 3D animations are created from highly optimized 3D data originating from CAD, so they can be freely distributed throughout the company and to its customers.
RapidManual / RapidLearning 1.12. What's new:
National language support
You can now type the text of labels and procedure descriptions directly in national language characters with the exception of languages that require a double-byte character set (Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.).
A new object library
A new library allows you to add labels, dimensions lines, hoses, ropes, and other similar objects to your simulations. These objects can be added to the scene tree and used the same as other parts of the model.
Improved geometry trimming
The area to be trimmed can be easily modified using a 3D manipulator. Additional options allow for cutting the parts outside or inside the specified area. The settings of the trim operation can be saved and applied to other representations and parts of the model.
New options for describing procedures
More detailed description of the procedure can be created, including separate commenting on each substep (action union). The text of the procedure can be formatted - font, size, color, bullets, indents, etc. This text can then be used in a Web page, which will display 3D simulation and textual description synchronously.
Improved data exchange
A compressed archive of projects can easily be created for sharing with other VM Product Family users and for archival storage.
New preview option
Define the viewing screen layout for 3D simulations and switch between this and the working layout to preview how objects that depend on the proportions of the 3D window (e.g. labels) will look in the final simulation.ated for sharing with other VM.
Ability to display custom logo in 3D models
Specify a custom logo to be displayed in the 3D window of the application.
Localization of the user interface
All tooltips and command names are stored in a separate file and can be easily translated into other languages.
Additional playing settings
Allow you to specify how the simulation is performed:
Additional settings for displaying procedure description
Allow you to customize the look of the procedure description:
Important changes Editing of procedure text and selection of axes type are moved to Virtual Manual Editor and Virtual Training Editor.
Improved project archiving Simplified process for performing a full clean up of all projects within specified working area before archiving. This purges deleted projects, removes old versions of projects and unused geometry representations.
Improved export procedure
Export all projects within particular working area together (previously each project could only be exported separately).
